Import 3D Files
Bring models from other tools into uMake — SketchUp, OBJ, STL, STEP, and more.
Steps
- On the Home tab, open the Start Blank menu and choose Import File.
- Pick a category — 3D Model (OBJ, STL, STEP, IGES, USDZ, GLB, DAE, ZIP), SketchUp (SKP), 2D Vector (SVG), or uMake File (UMK) — and the file browser opens showing only files uMake can read.
- Select the file, and uMake imports it and opens it as a new design in your library.
- SketchUp files are converted online, so importing SKP needs an internet connection.
- Opening a supported file from the Files app or another app also imports it into uMake.
