Keyboard Shortcuts
Work faster with a hardware keyboard — every canvas shortcut in one place.
Steps
- Open Help and choose Keyboard Shortcuts to browse every canvas shortcut, grouped by Edit, Tools, Camera, View, Panels, Layers, and Spaces.
- With a hardware keyboard connected, hold Command (⌘) on the canvas to show iPadOS's shortcut overlay.
- Some shortcuts repeat while held — hold ⌘Z to keep undoing, ⇧⌘Z to keep redoing, ⌘+ or ⌘- to keep zooming, and hold the Space bar (␣) to pan.
- Single-key shortcuts such as 1, 2, and 3 for the drawing tools stay out of your way while you are typing in a text field — they only act on the canvas.
Hold ⌘ on a connected keyboard to see every shortcut available where you are.
