A day in uMake
Five moments from a working day on one product, and the uMake tools behind each one.
09:00 · Sketch
Draw on a sketch plane with Apple Pencil: Precision for exact lines and arcs, Pen for smooth curves with an adjustable stabilizer, Freestyle for loose strokes in 3D. Then lift the curves into NURBS surfaces and reshape them by their control points.
11:00 · Model
Combine joins, subtracts or intersects solids, with a 3D preview before you apply. Project Shape wraps a flat grille, logo or pattern onto a curved body, and Components keep repeated parts linked, so changing one changes them all.
13:00 · Reference
Give the AI Design Partner a reference image or a few words, and it builds an editable 3D model to match: real geometry you keep refining, by hand or in the chat, not a picture.
15:00 · Color & finish
Describe the look in Live AI Preview, and the photoreal render beside your model changes with it, in styles such as Product Shot, Showroom or Clay. Or run Variations on a view of the design for several directions in color, material and finish at once.
17:00 · Hand-off
Check the size on a real table with View in AR on iPhone or iPad. Then export STL or OBJ, which uMake labels for 3D printing, and open it in your slicer, or send STEP and IGES to your CAD tools.

Files
Open STEP and IGES from your CAD tools, and send finished models to your slicer, back to CAD or into AR.

3D export needs a plan
uMake doesn’t send jobs to a printer itself: open the STL or OBJ in your slicer.
