Sketch Planes
Aim the invisible sheet your strokes land on, pin it in place, and save it for later.
Steps
- Strokes always land on the active sketch plane; by default it follows your camera view, so orbit first to aim your drawing plane.
- While Freestyle is active, tap Pin Paper (the pin icon in the top toolbar) to keep sketching on the same sheet while you orbit around it.
- With a sketch plane selected, the contextual menu lets you move or rotate it, and Capture saves it to your Sketch Planes list.
- Open the Layers panel from the top toolbar, switch its title dropdown to Sketch Planes, and tap a saved plane to make it active again — uMake can also move the camera to face it.
Try it in uMake.
uMake is free to download for iPad, iPhone and Mac.
