Freestyle Sketching
Sketch loose, expressive strokes — and let a closed loop fill itself with colour.
Steps
- Tap the Tool button in the top toolbar and choose Freestyle.
- Drag anywhere on the canvas to sketch a loose, expressive stroke.
- Pick a stroke character — Ink, Pencil, Marker, Charcoal, or Chalk — from the Brush button that appears while Freestyle is active.
- Turn on Fill Area (the drop icon in the top toolbar) and every stroke closes itself when you lift, filling the loop with your ink colour.
- To orbit while the tool is active, hold the orbit button in the bottom-left toolbar and drag with your other hand, or quick-tap the button to lock orbit.
- Tap the Tool button in the top toolbar, choose Freestyle, and sketch with the Apple Pencil.
- With Apple Pencil mode on, a one-finger drag orbits the camera while the Pencil keeps sketching.
- Press 3 to switch to the Freestyle tool.
- Click and drag on the canvas to sketch.
