Draw & Edit
Draw a Curve (Precision)
Drag precise line and arc segments that chain into an exact profile.
Steps
- Tap the Tool button in the top toolbar and choose Precision.
- Drag on the canvas — Precision rubber-bands a straight, snapped line; curve your drag to sweep an arc. Release to place the segment.
- Start your next drag at the endpoint to chain segments, and end the last segment on your first point to close the shape — a closed loop fills with a surface automatically while Auto Surface is on in Settings.
- To orbit while the tool is active, hold the orbit button in the bottom-left toolbar and drag with your other hand, or quick-tap the button to lock orbit.
- Tap the Tool button in the top toolbar, choose Precision, and drag with the Apple Pencil to lay each segment.
- With Apple Pencil mode on, a one-finger drag orbits the camera while the Pencil keeps drawing — no orbit button needed.
- Press 1 to switch to the Precision tool.
- Click and drag on the canvas to lay straight or arc segments; chain drags from each endpoint.
- Press keypad Enter (⏎) to finish the current tool, or Esc (⎋) to deselect.
