Pan & zoom
Glide, zoom, and roll the camera with two fingers — in any mode, with any tool active.
Steps
- Drag with two fingers anywhere on the canvas to pan the view.
- Pinch two fingers apart to zoom in, or pinch them together to zoom out.
- Twist two fingers to roll the camera.
- These gestures work at any time — even while a drawing tool is active or Apple Pencil mode is on.
- Two-finger pan, pinch zoom, and twist roll keep working while Apple Pencil mode is on — use your fingers for the camera and the Pencil to draw.
- Drag with two fingers to pan, pinch to zoom, and twist to roll, exactly as without the Pencil.
- Hold the Space bar (␣) and drag to pan the view.
- Press ⌘ and + to zoom in, or ⌘ and − to zoom out at the pointer; keep the keys held to keep zooming.
- On a trackpad, scroll with two fingers to pan, and hold Control (⌃) while scrolling to zoom.
