Yes, to download. Without a plan you can import and view 3D files, SketchUp included, work in two Spaces and try the AI tools with one-time AI credits. A plan unlocks drawing and editing in the 3D editor, 3D export, the full content library, unlimited Spaces and AI credits every month.
Each includes every tool in uMake. They differ in how much AI you get each month: Pro gets 2× Basic’s and Studio 5×. In credits, that’s 800, 1,600 and 4,000 a month.
Either. In the app, Apple bills you in your App Store currency and shows any free trial before you subscribe. On the web, at account.umake.com, you pay in US dollars with tax added at checkout, and there’s no free trial. Pick one: a web plan doesn’t cancel an App Store subscription, so cancel that first, or you’ll pay for both.
If you subscribed on the web, go to account.umake.com/billing to switch plans, update your card, see invoices or cancel. If you subscribed in the app, use your Apple Account’s Subscriptions: on iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel an App Store plan at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
The AI tools draw on your plan’s credits: an image uses a few, a video clip more. Credits refill every month, on yearly plans too, and unused credits don’t roll over. Without a plan you get one-time credits to try the AI tools. If you run out, buy an AI credit pack in the app: packs need a plan, don’t expire, and are used after your monthly credits.
uMake imports STEP, IGES, OBJ, STL, USDZ, GLB, DAE, SVG and SketchUp (SKP) files, free. With a plan, the 3D editor exports STEP, IGES, OBJ, STL, USDZ and uMake’s own UMK, plus high-resolution PNG images. Spaces export PNG or UMKS, and Scene Studio saves MP4 video. SketchUp files are converted on uMake’s servers, so that import needs a connection. To 3D print a design, export STL or OBJ (uMake labels both for 3D printing) and open it in your slicer; uMake doesn’t send jobs to a printer itself.
Your designs are saved on your device, so you can sketch and model offline. A free uMake account also backs them up and syncs them across your devices, and offline changes sync when you’re back online. You can be signed in on one device at a time: signing in on another signs you out of the first. You need a connection the first time you open uMake, for most AI tools and for content library downloads.

Yes. Students whose teacher or school shares a class link get the Education plan free for 12 months: everything in uMake except the monthly AI allowance, with AI credit packs available in the app. Schools, colleges and universities can buy licenses for $15 a seat a year, from 20 seats, at account.umake.com. Not yet: licenses are paid by card. For invoices, purchase orders or more than 5,000 seats, talk to us.
You pay per seat, for at least 3 seats including yours, all on one plan and one billing period, paid through Stripe. Seats you add are charged now for the rest of the period, and seats you remove are credited on your next invoice. Only the team’s owner manages billing, and every member gets their plan’s AI credits on their own seat.
Yes, with company sign-in (SSO) through Google Workspace or Microsoft work accounts. Verify your company’s domain with a DNS record, and people who sign in with a work account on it join your team automatically, or can be required to. SAML, Okta and SCIM aren’t supported yet.
