Components
Turn a shape into a reusable component whose linked copies all update together.
Steps
- Select the shapes or group you want to reuse, then tap Component in the selection menu.
- Duplicate the component to place more instances — every instance stays linked.
- Edit inside any instance and all linked instances update with it.
- Select an instance and tap Detach Instance in the selection menu to break the link and make it independent.
- Press ⌘D to toggle copy mode on a selected instance, then drag to place another linked instance.
