Natalie: Bringing illustrations to life using 3D design & lighting

I’m Natalie, and I live in Moldova. Currently, I work remotely for a British company as a full-time 2D illustrator.

I got into 3D pretty recently, and uMake made this transition fun and interesting for me. I found a way to combine my 2D illustrations with 3D elements, and it opened so many opportunities to create a lot of cool and original art!

My favorite uMake feature is the option to change the light from studio lights to sunlight. It makes my art so lively, and I love to play with different light angles and colors of the light.

As you can see by the “room” composition, I found a way to create the “golden hour” effect by using walls with various holes in them and changing light angles and colors. I’m pleased with the result.
